You would be forgiven for thinking that Virgin Holidays and naturist holidays were not necessarily synonymous.
That certainly is not the case now! In fact there are two, couples only, all inclusive Virgin Holidays resorts on the Caribbean island of Jamaica that actually have naturist areas!
Couples Sans Souci
The award-winning Couples Sans Souci is renowned for its cuisine and first-class service. Sans Souci is French for 'without a care', and what could be more appropriate for a laid-back holiday in Jamaica, especially in a resort of this quality that caters for naturists?
Set into a pretty, 35-acre hillside garden that leads to 2 white sand beaches, one of them naturist, the resort offers you a blissful retreat. It is an over 18, couples only resort, situated on a golden beach 4 miles east of Ocho Rios.
The accommodation at Couples Sans Souci consists of 150 Ocean-facing Suites on up to 3 floors in 7 buildings. They all have air-conditioning, LCD Flatscreen TV, iPod docking station, tea/coffee maker, mini-bar, safe, iron and board, bathrobes and hairdryer.
The Deluxe Ocean Suites have partial sea views and large master bedroom (no balcony or patio).
It is possible to upgrade to one of a selection of Ocean or Beachfront Suites with balcony or patio!
A selection of restaurants cater for Caribbean and Mediterranean food, and there is also the Beach Grill which cooks gourmet burgers etc.
The evening entertainment consists of a weekly Jamaican beach party, the friday night Starlight Gala, a resident band and pianist and strolling musicians. There is live nightly entertainment!
There are four swimming pools, three jacuzzis and two beaches. One of the beaches is naturist and, not only that, there is a pool and swim up Sunset Bar here!
For the more active minded there water sports instruction for various activities such as water skiing and sailing.
For the golfers amongst you, there is unlimited golf including green fees and transfers to Upton Hills Golf Course (you do have to have a mandatory caddy. Golf clubs are available for hire).
All meals and snacks, all drinks (including premium brands) and all activities and entertainment are inclusive unless stated on the Virgin Holidays website!
Couples Tower Isle
Situated on the beach close to the lively resort of Ocho Rios, Couples Tower Isle hotel was re-opened in 2009 following a multi-million dollar refurbishment.
Virgin Holidays do not think they have ever come across an all-inclusive arrangement that covers so much.
It is an over 18, couples only resort and there is also a naturist island!!
The accommodation consists of 226 rooms on 4 floors in 5 buildings with 4 lifts (2 buildings without lifts).
They all have a balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, flatscreen satellite TV, iPod docking station, tea/coffee-making facilities, safety deposit box, iron and board, mini-bar, hairdryer and king-size bed.
The Deluxe Garden Rooms face inland and have views of the mountains and gardens. The rooms sleep a maximum of two adults.
It is possible to upgrade to one of a selection of Ocean View rooms.
A selection of restaurants cater for Caribbean, Mediterranean, Asian and Vegetarian food, and there is also the Pool Grill with grill specialities.
Couples Tower Isle organise nightly entertainment including cabaret, resident bands, the piano bar and live shows. There are also films by starlight on the beach and a weekly beach party.
There are two swimming pools, four jacuzzis three floodlit tennis courts, and a naturist island with swim-up bar!
Looking for activity? There is water sports instruction for various activities such as water skiing, kayaking and wind surfing. Other activities include aerobics and beach volleyball!
