(Northampton)
We have only just found the site and what a good one it is too. Let us start with a little introduction. We are Chris and Sue both in our early fifties and have been together for four years.
Chris has always wanted to try naturism but his ex wife was not interested. Back in 2002 they were on a canal holiday on the Oxford Canal in June. You may remember that that summer was bakingly hot. One afternoon they moored up and realised that they needed some supplies. From where they were there was a village about 3 miles away from the canal in either direction. Chris set off and walked along a deserted path to get the supplies. On his way back again seeing no one he decided to strip off his shorts and undies. He says it was bliss.
Anyway the marriage broke up and Chris and Sue got together and discussed things they would like to do. One was naturism and Sue said she was prepared to "give it a go" with the proviso that if she didn't like it that would be that. Some searching on the net followed and they decided to book a long weekend at St Annes, a privately run clothing optional site, at Three Legged Cross. We arrived in sunshine and unpacked the tent. We looked at each other, looked at the sky. We decided that if we stripped off then and put the tent up while nude we would be too busy to think about it and become embarrassed. So we did, and we weren't. It was a fantastic weekend and on Sunday as we dressed at the side of the car having put the tent down we were hooked.
We go to St Annes a couple of times a year and we have been to the last three Merryhill Music Festivals where we have started to regularly meet up with friends. So far we have only had one naturist holiday abroad, at Domaine de la Gagere in the Burgundy which we recommend highly.
We haven't managed to go for the last two years due to respective daughters getting married but intend to go there next year (unless anyone knows how we can trade in Tesco vouchers for a naturist package holiday!) and it may well be for our honeymoon.
We are pleased that we took the plunge and look forward to many more clothes free years.
